The Polar Express!!!

On Friday, December 19th, my Mom and Dad took us all for a ride on the Polar Express. We did this as a family last year but it was so much fun for us to go as a group this year!
The kids standing at the entrance to the train depot.

Caden and Madison--they're buds!

Evan and Dawson

Alysabeth, Brad and I, oh and Jackson too!

My Mom and Dad--THANKS for a GREAT night of family fun and memories!

The Polar Express!!

Jackson loved holding his Polar Express ticket. Heather tried to put it away and he would have none of that.

Caden loving his "Hot Hot Chocolate"

Evan-full tummy-cookie and hot cocoa!

The Hot Chocolate tap dancers wiped the kids mouths clean--so cute!

The Polar Express!

Santa giving Jackson his bell.

The kids with their bells.

Alysabeth is a believer--she can hear the bell!

The Hobo searching from someone who will trade him for a bell--he traded Evan a rubber fish--but since he can't hear the bells ring, he gave it back and told him that his bell was broken.

Caden hiding from the Hobo because he didn't want him to take his bell.

School Stuff!

Here he is--Evan had the lead in the school play--"Surfing Santa". He is, as you can see Santa. The play was wonderful--if it wouldn't take forever to upload I would have it on the blog. The principal told me--"That boy of yours has some voice" to which I replied, "That's the Welsh in him." He did great!

Alysabeth was the heroine in the play--a girl named Ellen that helped save Santa's factory from a hostile take over. She had a small singing solo and did a beautiful job--it was a great night!

My two stars!

Caden wanted in on the picture.

Caden had a great program at school also. The first grade did each letter of the alphabet with a holiday saying and sang a bunch of songs. I have that all on video as well--again, too long to upload. This is Caden dressed in his PJs--he had a Polar Express party his last day of school--he took donut holes to share and had a great time!

Dressing up!!!!

For our Ward party the Primary children reenacted the Christmas story. They did a great job and they had a lot of fun!

All of the children on stage.

Alysabeth as a VERY cute sheep.

Evan as a shepherd.

Caden, another shepherd.

Madison's Baptism/Birthday!

On Saturday, December 13th my niece Madison celebrated her 8th birthday and was baptized. She was so nervous but she made it through and we're so proud of her!

Jeremy and Madison (she'd been crying because she was nervous/scared).

Finally--Thanksgiving Pictures!

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving at my parent's home. Our family, my sister and her husband and 3 children and of course my Mom and Dad were there. We have so much to be thankful for this year--it has been a rough year here in California for a lot of people and I feel so blessed to have a roof over our head, food on our table and a steady paycheck. But, I am most grateful to have my family and so many wonderful friends! I'm especially grateful that I got to see all of my cousins, aunts and uncles this year even though it wasn't on the happiest of occasions. Our Nana will be sorely missed but she is SO happy to be back with her one true love, my wonderful Papa! Love to you both!

Brad is the official gravy maker on Thanksgiving day--it was tasty!

Evan and Caden in the playroom--both of them need haircuts!

Papa carving one of the juciest birds we've ever had--YUM!

Finally--Thanksgiving Pictures!

After a delicous turkey dinner, the kids had a great time decorating Gingerbread houses. We seperated them in to three teams...

Longbeach Trip

OK, I went to a Teacher's Conference in Longbeach the weekend before Thanksgiving. It wasn't my idea but we made a short detour the day before and somehow ended up at Disneyland. It was a great 4 days (only one spent at Disneyland).

This is a picture of the group of teachers I went with to the Conference. It was a great experience and I learned a lot from the classes I took.

This is of course the castle at Disneyland all lit up for Christmas--so beautiful! I want to take the kids next year when it is all decorated for the Holidays!

This is "It's a Small World". They have it all lit up and the whole ride is Christmas around the world and the children are singing Christmas songs.

My favorite float in the Holiday Parade--it would be a Gingerbread House!
